East Cleveland Public Library: Nestled amidst Nela Park, the world’s first industrial park, and portions of what was once "millionaires’ row," sits the city of East Cleveland (EC), a small community of just 3.9 square miles comprised of mostly African American families who possess a rich cultural history and a strong affinity for the arts. The mission of East Cleveland Public Library is to provide life enhancing, consciousness raising, library services and cultural activities that reflect the needs of the East Cleveland community and the patrons of the institution. Ascend provides fund development, strategy and communications work.

NeedLink Nashville: NeedLink Nashville helps low-income Nashville residents meet basic needs for housing and utilities by providing immediate financial assistance and case management. Ascend Advisors supports the mission of NeedLink Nashville by providing fund development and communications support.

A private, four-year university, Belmont brings together the best of liberal arts and professional education in a Christian community of learning and service.Allison has taught at Belmont University in the Business School of Social Entrepreneurship at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Some of her favorite courses included the Introduction to Social Entrepreneurship and Nonprofit Leadership.

MyCom: A Youth Development Network:The MyCom Network is a group of stakeholders and/or capacity building organizations working to elevate youth access to caring adults and quality programs throughout the community leading our young people into the 21st Century with the skills to become successful adults. Ascend Advisors is currently working as members of the MyCom Intermediary Team supporting leadership & strategy, fund development, and communications.

ACE Mentor Program of Cleveland: ACE engages, excites, and enlightens high school students to pursue careers in architecture, engineering, and construction through mentoring and continued support for individual advancement. Ascend Advisors is working to both maintain and develop funding partnerships to further expand the depth and breadth of the programs.

Contractors Assistance Association: The CAA’s mission is to promote diversity and inclusion for minorities and women in construction. CAA builds capacity for minority and women firms to bid on contracts, provides education and training opportunities relevant to the industry and to support their growth, and promotes employment of minorities on local construction projects. Ascend Advisors is helping CAA secure funding partners to further their mission and purpose.
